Reading Tutoring

Phonic Fanatics utilizes a reading program developed by Applied Scholastics International® using L. Ron Hubbard's Study Technology.

How does it work?

 This program is effectively designed so that your child learns to read at his/her own pace.

First we give a FREE CONSULTATION to establish what your child already knows. Once we have established what your child already knows we begin teaching or repairing the letter-sound knowledge he/she will need in order to successfully read and write words in the English language.

Then, we introduce your child to the various key terms necessary to understand how the English language is developed. For example words on the first list are: alphabet, letter, sound, etc...  Once your child has an understanding of these terms and he/she is able to use them with certainty we will begin to develop your child's understanding of the letters of the alphabet and the various sounds those letters make.

This program is effective because it uses a multi-sensory gradient (step-by-step) approach to learning the letters and words of the English language. Your child will have many opportunities throughout the program to use various types of manipulatives (hands-on tools) to develop his/her understanding of different letters, sounds and words.

Due to a demand for services in additional subject areas and age groups Phonics Fanatics now provides tutoring services for: math and writing.
