Phonics Fanatics is a locally owned and operated tutoring company that provides an Individualized Reading Instructional Progam. The company was developed by two school teachers Amanda Gregory and Charold Rivera in 2010. The company utilizes a multi-sensory self-paced reading program that was developed by Applied Scholastics International® located in St. Louis, Missouri.

How did Phonics Fanatics get started?

After a few years in the public school system Charold and Amanda realized that children benefited from reading programs where children are able to learn at their own pace. Upon this discovery they decided to go to Applied Scholastics International® in St. Louis, Missouri where an effective self-paced reading program had been developed. After studying the ASAP (Achieving Student Academic Proficiency) program at Applied Scholastics International®, Amanda and Charold came back to Hawai'i with the sole ambition of enhancing the literacy level of the islands' keiki.
